Do you make resolutions for the New Year?
It’s a good place to start if you want to change, says local behavioral and cognitive therapist Dr. Bradford Richards, head of the Cognitive Behavioral Institute in Albuquerque.
“As long as they are realistic and worthwhile, New Year’s is a good opportunity to set goals,” he says. “Basically you want a goal where the reward clearly outweighs the difficulties or inconveniences.”
